JEALOUSY
Better To Have Little
Equipment :Bibles, paper and pens, large sheets of paper and marker pens.
Ask everyone to make a list of the top 10 objects they would all like to own. Cost is not a problem. You need to put a star next to your top 3.
Share your top 3 items.
Now ask everyone to write down what their feelings would be if someone new started at their school and they found out very quickly that he or she owned (or his/her family) most of the items on their list.
Read Psalm 37:1-11, 16. Explain that David is aware that others are doing well, becoming rich and successful. It would be very easy for him to become jealous of them but instead he reminds himself and us of a better way.
Give everyone a piece of A3 paper and some pens. Write out 5 of David’s ‘Do’s’ (his advice on how to respond when they are in danger of becoming jealous of others apparent success) in their own words and then write out 3 of David’s ‘Don’ts’ in your own words.
When everyone is ready share what you have written on their sheets.
Stick the sheets up around the room as reminder of David’s thoughts on how to react instead of becoming jealous.

Do And Don't
Equipment:Card, pens, a hole punch, ribbon, thread, stickers and scissors.
Give everyone some card and cut out a bookmark – it can just be a rectangle or they could be more inventive if they want.
Now you need to look at the posters that were stuck up at the end of ‘Better To Have Little’ activity, they must choose one ‘do’ and one ‘don’t’ which they think they can put into practice when they are beginning to feel jealous about someone or something.
Ask them to write the ‘do’ on one side of their bookmark and the ‘don’t’ on the other. Remind them to take their bookmarks home at the end of the session.
